Hey everyone!
I've been thinking about getting a Doberman Pinscher as a pet, but I live in an apartment complex. I've heard mixed opinions on whether or not they can thrive in a smaller living environment.
I work from home, so I would be able to take the dog out for walks and playtime throughout the day. I also plan on providing plenty of interactive toys and enrichment activities.
Does anyone here have experience living with a Doberman in an apartment or condo? Would it be possible for them to be happy and healthy in a smaller living space, or would it be better to wait until I have a larger home with a yard?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi everyone,
I had a Doberman Pinscher a few years ago when I lived in a small apartment, and it was a bit of a challenge. While the dog was always comfortable and happy inside the apartment, he did require a lot of external stimulation, especially if he didn't have access to the outside often.
One thing we found was helpful was finding local dog parks that had agility and obedience classes. These classes helped him stay mentally stimulated and provided an outlet for his energy. We also took him on long walks and hikes during the weekends when we had more time.
We also found an exercise area inside the complex, which was decked out with agility equipment that he loved playing with. The equipment allowed him to run around and jump, which he enjoyed doing.
Based on my experience, I think it's definitely doable to keep a Doberman Pinscher in an apartment, as long as you're willing to put in the extra work to ensure that they're getting the necessary exercise and mental stimulation.
Hope this information helps!
