Hey everyone,
I have been considering getting a Doberman as a pet but I have heard some rumors that these dogs are dangerous and have possibly killed people in the past. I don't want to bring any harm to my family or anyone else, so I was wondering if any of you have heard of cases where Dobermans have attacked or killed people? I know that any dog can be aggressive if not properly trained, but I just want to make sure I am making the right decision in choosing a Doberman as a pet. Appreciate any insights or personal experiences that you guys can share. Thanks!

Hi all,
I just wanted to add my two cents to this thread about Dobermans and their reputation for aggression. I have owned several Dobermans over the years, and I can say that they have all been wonderful pets. None of my Dobermans have ever exhibited any aggressive behavior towards people.
That being said, I do think it's important to acknowledge that any dog has the potential to become aggressive if not properly trained and socialized. This is true for Dobermans as well as any other breed.
Additionally, it's important to recognize that there are certain misconceptions about Dobermans that can contribute to their reputation for aggression. For example, some people believe that Dobermans are naturally aggressive or that they are only suitable for experienced dog owners. In reality, Dobermans can make great pets for families and individuals alike, as long as they are trained and socialized properly.
In conclusion, I think it's important to approach the question of Dobermans and aggression with an open mind and a willingness to learn. While there are certainly cases where Dobermans have exhibited aggressive behavior, this should not be taken as a reflection on the breed as a whole. If you are considering getting a Doberman, do your research, talk to a reputable breeder, and be prepared to invest time and effort into training and socializing your new pet.
