Hello everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone could help me identify what breed of dog I have. I recently adopted a puppy from the shelter and while they told me he was a mix between an American bulldog and a Doberman pinscher, I'm not entirely sure if that's accurate.
He has the muscular build and strong jawline of an American bulldog, but his coat and coloring are more like a Doberman. He's also very energetic and loves to run around, which I know is typical of both breeds.
I want to make sure I'm giving my pup the best care possible and understanding his breed characteristics will help with that. So if anyone has any insights or experience with this kind of mix, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you in advance.

Hi there,
I had a dog who was also a mix of an American bulldog and a Doberman pinscher in the past. He was a unique mix and was definitely a standout dog at the dog park!
Physically, he had the big, broad head and muscular body of an American bulldog, but his coat was short, shiny, and black like a Doberman. He also had the tall, lean legs of a Doberman, which made him quite graceful when he ran.
In terms of temperament, he was a very loyal dog to his family, but he could be quite wary of strangers, which I know is typical of both of these breeds. He was also a very strong-willed dog, which meant that he needed a lot of training and socialization from a young age.
Overall, I think that a cross between an American bulldog and a Doberman pinscher can make for an amazing dog, but they do require a lot of attention and dedication from their owners. It's important to remember that they are a mix of two strong and protective breeds, so they need a lot of socialization to ensure they are well-behaved around other dogs and people.
